In the mountain territory west of Pogradec, near the village of Llëngë, water has cut a narrow gorge through rock and forest. Reaching it takes visitors into the remote Mokra countryside, where the journey through villages and highland scenery is an important part of the experience. This is an undeveloped natural site. Paths may be faint, rocks can be slippery, mobile coverage may be unreliable, and water levels can change quickly after rain or snowmelt. Do not enter pools or confined sections without local knowledge, and never attempt the canyon alone in poor weather. Sturdy footwear, water, an offline map, and a local guide are sensible precautions. In suitable conditions, Llënga rewards careful visitors with cool air, running water, rock walls, and deep quiet. It can be combined with the nearby Monastery of Saint Marena, creating a full-day journey from Pogradec through the natural and spiritual landscape of Mokra.
