About this place
In central Pogradec, a short walk from the lake, Odeon Square is a modern open-air civic space designed in the form of a small theatre. Its curved seating and stage host concerts, school activities, celebrations, and community gatherings, placing everyday cultural life in the heart of the city. Despite its classical name and amphitheatre-like shape, Odeon Square is not a discovered Roman archaeological site. It is a contemporary public venue beside important local institutions, including the Lasgush Poradeci Cultural Center and the Mitrush Kuteli Library. The square is most interesting when an event is taking place, but it is also an easy stop while exploring central Pogradec on foot. Check local event announcements during festivals and summer evenings, when the space is most likely to come alive.
