About this place
Pogradec’s lakeside promenade is where the city meets the water—and where almost every visit naturally begins. The broad waterfront links beaches, green spaces, cafés, restaurants, and central neighbourhoods, remaining lively from the first morning walkers until the final evening stroll. Its level path is ideal for walking, running, and cycling, with frequent places to sit and look across the water toward Mali i Thatë and the mountains of North Macedonia. In summer, the beach and terraces bring extra energy; outside the high season, the promenade becomes quieter but no less beautiful. Visit near sunset, when families and friends gather for the traditional evening walk and the changing light spreads across the lake. More than an attraction, the promenade is Pogradec’s shared living room and the best place to feel the everyday rhythm of the city.
